Cambridge – Yes, I Actually Work Here

Many people see our TV ads or hear our radio commercials, or find us on the internet, and they assume we are a big huge corporation.

This month I probably filed more personal bankruptcies and consumer proposals than any other trustee in Cambridge, but that does not mean we are some big, impersonal corporation.

In fact, I personally met with every person who dealt with us in our Cambridge office this month. I’m the trustee, my name is on the door, and you will meet with me, not a junior clerk.

Not only is my business located in Cambridge, but I am also committed to helping the community in Cambridge.

For example, this May marked the sixth year in a row we have sponsored the Cambridge Times Rotary Classic. Part of the proceeds of the run go to the KidsAbility Centre for Child Development, serving children with physical, development and communication disabilities.

My firm, Hoyes, Michalos & Associates Inc., is proud to be a Gold Sponsor of this great event. (You can see a list of all of the sponsors on the Rotary Fun Run web site).

This year the run was held on Sunday May 27, 2007 with the start and finish line at the Dickson Arena, at the corner of Park Hill Road West and George Street, which happens to be a four minute walk (I timed it) from my Cambridge office at 10 George Street North in Cambridge.

I am also pleased that this year, for the first time, we are one of the sponsors on the Cambridge Oldtimers Slo-Pitch website. You can find their web site at www.cambridgeslopitch.com; it’s a great site if you want to keep up to date on the scores and stats for your favourite team.

If you live or work in Cambridge and want some advice from someone who meets with more people having financial trouble than anyone else, please give my office a call in Cambridge at (519) 622-3773 or 310-PLAN (310-7526, no area code required) or e-mail me to arrange for a free initial consultation.
