I also tell people that they are not alone. Last year over 500 residents of Cambridge, Ontario filed a personal bankruptcy, or a consumer proposal. One of my favorite solutions is a consumer proposal. In fact, over the last few years I have personally filed more than one third of all of the consumer proposals filed for residents of Cambridge (no other trustee can make that statement). I don’t make that statement to brag (well, maybe I’m bragging a little bit). I tell you that to emphasize that I have helped many people, just like you, and I don’t just help by filing a bankruptcy.
